When you talk about hair regrowth for your already bald or thinning hair, then chances are you are down to a couple of different options. In the world of hair loss, you may be hard pressed to find a qualified professional who believes in hair regrowth. You essentially have three different choices. The first choice is that you can medicate your hair with a product such as Minoxidil that is found in Rogaine. Approximately 35% of men say they had a minimal hair regrowth, but the remainder of the men and women saw relatively no difference in their hair regrowth. However, most agree that there is a decrease in the amount of shedding your hair does, but no one is sure whether or not you actually stop losing hair or are experiencing hair regrowth.

Your second option for hair regrowth is surgery, including scalp reduction and hair transplantation. Hair transplants have come a long way since the first days of the surgery. No longer do you have to worry about seeing the plugs and having your hair look the hair on top of a dolls head. In fact, surgeons can create a much more natural looking hair line by making small cuts or holes in the area of the scalp that needs to receive the transplanted hair. Essentially you are just moving your hair from a more densely covered area to the area in which has little to no hair. Making sure you have enough hair as well as a qualified surgeon to complete this procedure is key in getting the best hair transplant you can for maximum hair regrowth. One word of caution is that fake hair fibers are banned by the FDA so if you are using a hair transplant for hair regrowth, make sure that it is natural human hair.

Finally you have the tried and true method of covering it up. Although technically it is not hair regrowth it certainly gives you the look of it. They are called hairpieces, and for a fraction of the cost of hair transplants you can have the look of a fuller head of hair. Just remember not all wigs and toupees are created equal. Your hair regrowthwill only look as good as the person who is making the toupee, so buy carefully.
